Page groups are validated for duplicate locales, language/region codes and public URLs. Supplied alternate sets are checked for self and return references.
5,000 rows. Checks supplied data, not live URLs, translation quality or Google indexing. x-default is optional.
A multilingual website can have dozens of language equivalents for many pages. Copying alternate tags by hand makes it easy to miss a self reference or link an article to an unrelated translation. This hreflang generator organizes your spreadsheet into page groups so each cluster can be reviewed and exported consistently. It is designed for planned annotations and supplied-data checks.
Prepare page_group, locale and url columns. Give equivalents of the same page one group, and keep different articles or products in separate groups.
Upload or paste the CSV. If you want to check existing supplied annotations, include the supported alternates column in the example format.
Review duplicate locales, invalid codes and cluster relationships. Export the HTML or XML only after correcting the rows that need attention.
A clean supplied-data report does not confirm that every live page has published these tags. The group structure matters as much as syntax: a valid locale attached to the wrong page is still a content-mapping mistake that requires your review.
After publishing, use Hreflang Tags Tester to inspect the actual annotations and available return-link evidence on live pages.

This tool creates clusters from a spreadsheet and checks supplied alternate sets. Hreflang Tags Tester inspects saved markup or public pages and their available linked-target evidence.
Only true language equivalents should share a group. Using one group for an entire website would incorrectly connect unrelated pages, such as an English homepage and a French product detail page.
